Music Festivals for the Angels

The 11th Annual Music Festival for the Angels has been scheduled for March 18, 2017. We hope you will all join us as we celebrate a fun-filled day with residents and tourists alike!

While the event is great fun, its main purpose is to raise funds for two very two worthy charitable organizations: The SOL Foundation and Clinica Esperanza. Both organizations benefit from this popular event as they continue their impressive work in the community.

When is the Music Festival for the Angels?

The festival is held very year in March. In recent years, it’s been hosted by Lawson Rock on the grass overlooking the beach. A stage is set up for the long line-up of bands and musicians. Tents are set up for food and fundraising tables, so bring along your appetite and your dollars!

About The SOL Foundation

The SOL (School of Life) International Foundation works to initiate and support community-based programs designed to promote education and increase the quality of life in developing areas. The SOL Foundation has established community programs in Roatan in education, sports, and lots of family-friendly community-building events.

The SOL Foundation relies on the support of the wonderful community in Roatan to accomplish their many goals. Visitors to the island also love to contribute to this great organization, both by attending events and helping with fundraising efforts.

To show your support for the SOL Foundation, donate directly through their website or follow them on Facebook to see when their next fundraising event is happening.

About Clinica Esperanza

Clinica Esperanza, also known as Nurse Peggy’s Clinic, offers low-cost or no-cost services to the island’s population. Patients receive services from the walk-in medical clinic, women’s health center, pediatrics inpatient hospital, and both adult and pediatrics dental clinics, with support from an on-site laboratory and pharmacy. The clinic also provides outreach clinics and community health education programs.

To support Clinica Esperanza, you can donate directly on their website and follow their activities on Facebook. Also on their website you’ll find a list of medications and supplies needed.

If you’re traveling to Roatan, consider packing a few extra medicines and supplies in your suitcase to donate to Clinica Esperanza. If you’re visiting from Canada, contact Not Just Tourists to see if they have medical supplies to send to Roatan. They regularly send suitcases filled with vital equipment and medical supplies with travelers willing to carry an extra bag.
