Get Ready for Extreme Roatan

If you’re not already training, it’s time to get moving. Extreme Roatan is coming your way for another epic adventure at Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum. Just like in previous events, you can expect lots of obstacles, lots of mud, and tons of laughs with your friends.

Get ready to get dirty – it’s time for Extreme Roatan 2016!

Scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd, this Extreme Roatan event will alter the course yet again. So even if you’ve participated before, this time will be different.

Your options for this Extreme Roatan event include a 3km Family Run or a 6km Endurance Run. If you’re up for a challenge, grab your friends and family and hit the trails for a unique day in Roatan.

The 3km Family Run includes all the hills and obstacles that Extreme Roatan is known for, but in a more compact course. You’ll have all the fun and all the challenges over a shorter distance.

The 6km Endurance Run will put you to the test. You’ll do the 3km course twice, giving you an intense, compact course with more challenges and more distance than we’ve thrown at you before. Even if you’re a veteran Extreme Roatan runner, you’ll need to dig deep to conquer this course!

Important information you need:

Kids under 18 are allowed to participate, as long as a parent or guardian is on-site. Kids under 16 will require a parent or guardian to participate with them in the Family Run. That’s right, parents, it’s time to lace up those running shoes and hit the trails with your kids – all in the name of family fun!

Extreme Roatan takes place at Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum, located in Mud Hole off the main road between Coxen Hole and Sandy Bay. Free parking is available, but limited. Carpooling is the best way to thoroughly enjoy this event with a group of friends or family! Spectators are allowed at no charge, so bring your cheerleaders along for the ride.

Things that are not allowed at the event: Please leave your furry friends at home, and no outside food or drink is allowed on the grounds.

Things that are provided for you: There will be food and drinks available at Blue Harbor, along with bathrooms, water stations, first aid, and ample staff around to help make sure you enjoy your day.

This version of Extreme Roatan in May is all about participation. We want you all to come out, have fun, and have something unique to do in Roatan. Our Champions Day event in October [link to: https://www.roatanet.com/extreme-roatan-sun-water-champions-day/] awards prizes to top finishers, but our first event of the year is designed for everyone to come out and have a fun day together.

Don’t forget, Extreme Roatan doesn’t care about the weather conditions…this is a rain or shine moment to prove just how extreme you can be!

Extreme Roatan Charity Fundraiser

Extreme Roatan will be helping to raise awareness and support a few island charities this year at our events. The first is Bigotes: Riding Baja to Roatan – Riding every mile to raise awareness and funds for CATTLEYA.

CATTLEYA is a private registered non-profit, non-political organization promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities into our society by implementing educational programs of rehabilitation and through reinforcing their abilities.

You can follow Chris and Tony’s journey, which is happening right now.

We will also be collecting money for their fundraiser at Extreme Roatan if you would like to donate at that time instead.

Register for Extreme Roatan on May 22nd

Registration is open now, so grab your spot before the event sells out. Tickets cost $25 per person for the 3km Family Run and $30 per person for the 6km Endurance Run.
