    It would be helpful if we knew exactly what was considered recyclable. All
    plastics? Just plastic bottles? It is one of the many problems and growing
    pains on the island. What about all of the other non biodegradables that make
    their way to the landfills. This subject comes up quite often on this forum
    and I haven't heard of the possibility of incinerating. Is it truly so
    environmentally harmful? Or are we just assuming that it is? What is the REAL
    science on that? And if it is, then aren't there modern techniques that are
    environmentally sound? that can harness the energy produced at the same
    time?
