Are there any golf courses in Honduras?

The Black Pearl at Pristine Bay is Roatan’s first and only golf course. This 18-hole, par-72, 7,200 yard championship golf course was created by world famous golf course architect Pete Dye. It features Dye’s signature island greens, and 14 holes offer stunning vistas of the ocean and the Meso-American Barrier Reef. The Black Pearl is not only a haven for golfers, but for the vast wildlife on Roatan as well. With more than 100,000 plants and trees, the golf course is one of the largest sanctuaries of plant and animal life on Roatan.

There are two 9-hole golf courses located just out of San Pedro Sula. The Lomas Golf and Country Club is located on the Puerto Cortes road and the Lima Country Club is located in La Lima just past the San Pedro Sula airport.

There is a 9-hole course located on the Villas Telamar resort grounds at Tela. Villa guests get to use the course for free, not only is the course well maintained but at most times especially during the week the course is empty, you have it all to yourself.

A 9-hole course is located in La Ceiba and does offer a good location to play that is close and easily accessible to the Bay Islands.

Tegucigalpa offers two 9 hole courses. The Tegucigalpa Country Club and probably the most exclusive course in Honduras the Villa Elena Country Club.
